The girls love the outdoors. They get incredibly excited at the mention of "outside" and while inside they crawl up to the sliding glass door and press their faces against it, captivated. One of the perks of being in student housing is that our backyard opens into a large playground full of push-toys, play houses, bouncy horses, and many other shared toys.
The weather here is gorgeous and Nana takes the girls out around campus during the day for long walks. The girls point (their most recent milestone) and coo at the many interesting things they see along the way, including dogs, squirrels, and airplanes. Each day the girls also get to go outside into the courtyard for their daily exercise: pushing toys around the paths and jumping on the horses. They are very close to being able to walk on their own and can now walk holding only one of our fingers (or one hand on a push-toy).
At first the girls were scared of the grass, but they've come to accept it and crawl around happily through the yard.
