I figured I'd learn about child development through the parenting process, but I had no idea how much. I've found the girls' development of speech particularly interesting. The bebes started with what I lovingly call "monkey noises" and included grunting sounds like "whooo whooo whooo". They can also say "Ah-Ruh" (the French "R") thanks to Nana's efforts.
Over the past few days, these noises have evolved into strange squeaks and squeals. The girls sound more like a pair of wild animals than little bebes. Claire demonstrates this and also shows off her rolling in this video:
