Chefs

Claire and Nina have thrown themselves into pretend play lately. They love wearing my shoes, dressing up, and having tea parties together. We returned from a weekend trip to the toy store with a bag of plastic food, pots, and little aprons and set the girls loose.

Claire went right for the little milk carton and carefully poured it into her pot. She carefully stirred it for several minutes, put the top on, waited patiently, and then resumed her stirring. Nina went right for the egg (fond Easter memories perhaps) and spend a lot of time trying to fit the egg into different pots (and boxes). Once she found a pot she liked, she vigorously added every condiment she could find on top. Here's a short video of the girls cooking (Claire's on the left).
