Santa

This year we figured we'd take the girls to meet Santa. The pre-Santa predictions of Jason, Nana, and me ended up being spot on: Claire cried instantly, while Nina was completely fine with everything until she sympathetically cried for her sister. Hey, you gotta try, right? We captured a video of the whole experience as well. It ended up being pretty funny for us (yes we're laughing in the background) as Claire cried as soon as she contacted Santa's knees and Nina's expressions went from curious to worried to upset in a matter of seconds.

We did get a classic picture for the photo books (which would also fit well on one of those "scared of Santa" blogs). I expect that the girls will be more excited by the whole Santa thing next year. We generally don't enjoy making the girls upset for our amusement, but the Santa experience is something of an exception. And hey, it's only once a year, right? The girls shook it off instantly and we all went to enjoy the nearby fountains and Christmas trees.
