I've put the final touches on the bebe registries. I chose Target and Amazon.com and you can get a direct link on the right column on the blog (under the bouncing virtual bebes). You'll see some major items missing (crib, changing table, etc) because I lucked out and got several donated items from other mothers of twins. I joined a local twins group and people have been very generous about donating their used items! I already have a crib (still in need of a mattress), changing table, a glider, two small bouncy seats, a swing, pack-n-play, and some clothes...phew, that's a lot of stuff! It's amazing how much stuff I still need though (hence the registries).
As you can see from the Target registry, we're going with a pink/brown color scheme for the nursery (awe, we have a nursery! So great!) and I found some bedding from Dwell (Target) I really like. At the last few appointments, my OB stressed the importance of getting some of the key items (like car seats) ASAP (hence this post) because as you can see from the recent belly pic, I'm getting huge and twins do enjoy being born early (not too early I hope!).
And now for a paragraph not about begging for gifts ;) The girls are still growing very fast and now weigh in at 3 1/2 pounds each! I had an ultrasound Monday and the tech commented on how round the bebes' cheeks are (remind you of anyone?). This was my first ultrasound without Jason as he had to work. (For those of you who don't know yet, Jason decided to quit the grad-school game and left with a Masters degree. He's now employed as a Research Associate at a local company called Sunesis and loves it there. He's working on making an anticancer drug at the moment.) My mother's moving up this weekend (yay!) and will be my ultrasound-buddy after that :)
