I'm happy to report that the girls are healthy and so is their Mama. After the 9-pound weight and water gain at the last check, I was glad to hear that I haven't gained any weight from the last appointment--all that fluid seems to have drained and my weight gain is right on track for twins (which means a total of about 45-50lbs). I also learned what all that recent action was about--Claire has flipped 180 degrees so both bebes are now head down and face to face. Nina was kicking a lot today and Jason suggested that the two of them were probably staring each other down, vying for territory.
The doctor said that the next major milestone comes at 28 weeks when the bebes would have "intact survival". This means that if they were born at 28 weeks, they wouldn't suffer from any health problems or other developmental problems. The ultimate goal of course is full term--38 weeks.
On another note, we found out today that our time on the Stanford family housing waiting list is over :) We've gotten into a two bedroom and will be moving over the April 18th weekend. It's coming up quickly which is both great and scary. We'll only be moving about a block away and will also hire movers, so it shouldn't be too stressful.
