12 week scans

Bebes A and B fought it out and it looks like A has secured the bottom "bunk". He/she's stacked at the bottom with B right on top. The two of them moved around a ton during the scan and we could see many details including the hands, feet, and faces. No luck yet on the sex, maybe in 4 more weeks.

Bebe A: 7.67cm (crown to rump)

Bottom bunk

Bebe B: 6.99cm (crown to rump)

Top bunk

They are both getting so big and are each around 7cm crown to rump (which is such a cute way to measure). They are growing at about the same rate and the heartbeats and overall growth were very good. They are actually more than 13weeks along in terms of size, but I suppose having large parents helps!

During these scans, the doctors looked at the nuchal translucency which looked normal. This, coupled with the blood tests we had a few weeks ago means that the bebes are very low risk from having a genetic disorder such as down syndrome and means we won't have to do amniocentesis.
